It was 2011.
I has been on stages all during my career.
Groups from 5
to 500.
Mostly in ballrooms in hotels...
You know...Hilton...Marriott...
Maybe even a Sheraton or two.
But when I got a call to speak at The No Excuses Summit
in its second year I had no idea what I was in for.
This was not your uplines mlm meeting!
This was the big time.
I showed up at the Palms Hotel in Last Vegas and
checked
out the venue and almost passed out....
It was a 4000 seat venue that most of the biggest
acts in rock and roll had played in.
I walked out on the stage and looked into the empty
seats and thought...
Holy Crap!
This is a big place!
And then I walked back stage into the dressing rooms
to sit where
ROCKSTARS had sat before me.
And I knew that everything was about to change.
And so it did.
My role as a social media marketing queen began.
I never looked back and have been doing the do ever since.
What's funny though is how I got onto that stage.
Was it because I was the very best marketer?
NOPE.
Was it because I had done the most sales...
NOPE
Was it because I was a hot young chick?
NOPE.
It was because of a
relationship I had formed 5 years
earlier with a guy who ran a Google ad that said...
"Diane Hochman Is A Scam"
When I saw it...I called him up...bitched him out and
we became friends.
Who knew that 5 years later he would put me on a huge stage
in front of the whole industry..
But he did :)
And the
rest is history.
Remember...
Never judge who you meet.
With time everything changes and most people leave.
The snot nosed kid you meet today can turn out to
be the biggest name in the industry in just a few short years.
Heck...YOU can be that person in a few short years.
Any time you want you can step up and DECIDE.
