NO...I am not talking about 50 Shades Of Gray...
I am talking
about my mentor.
He carefully prepared me to receive what he
had to give me and perpetually tested me to
see if I was THE ONE that could receive the
contents of his mind.
He had made millions and the one thing he knew was that
most
people ...no matter what they said...had no intention
of doing the work to earn at that level and/or they lacked the
prosperity consciousness to receive the money no matter
how hard they worked.
So when I finally had shown him that I had what it takes...
And it took a while....
He said...
In order to learn you need
to let go of what you THINK
you know and SUBMIT.
You need to follow my lead and learn my process and THEN
you can go do what you want to do.
He also told me that there were many things that he could
not pass to me over the phone (this was before video calling)
And that I would have to travel to see him if I really wanted to
learn.
And so I examined my ego...and my stagnant income and I decided
that he was right...
And I took on the responsibility of executing what he told me to do
and traveling to New Jersey on a regular basis to learn from him.
Eventually we started running more seminars every 6 weeks and
I got to watch him execute on every
level.
I'd like to say I learned to do what I do from studying his content
but in reality I learned to do what I do through OSMOSIS.
From hanging out with and modeling a master.
I always find it interesting that people often hire coaches that
don't have any actual experience in doing what they want to
learn or people who have
no "laboratory" or environment
for them to learn to do it in.
People tend to buy having a person tell them what to do.
Me...
I never wanted to absorb in any other way than experiential learning.
So coaching with anyone who does not have an
environment
in which I can sharpen my saw made no sense to me.
This is why I always have my students actually EXECUTING
and not talking about what they are GOING TO DO
And it's also why I have not done coaching in some time as
to do it right and to actually mentor someone you must put in the time.
And your heart needs to
be in it.
Now me...
I can look at anyone's marketing and in a minute make changes
that will improve it's profitability.
I can craft a story that sells like nobodies business.
I can whip off copy and email letters in no time flat...
That's CONSULTING.
But coaching...
Well I have not really had the energy for it for several years now.
Mostly because the average client does not understand
that
they NEED TO SUBMIT.
They are listening to multiple voices...
Heading an multiple directions
And not focused on any one success path.
They question me as a sign of their internal
questioning of themselves.
And with those folks I can not make much progress.
It's a wall of resistance that keeps them from
absorbing what I have to teach them.
Me...
I did what my mentor told me to do.
I dressed how he told me to dress.
I went where he told me to go.
I did what he told me to do...
And I went to six figures and WAY beyond.
The reason why?
I submitted and I EXECUTED.
