Wowsers...
It's been quite a couple of days for me!
I was headed down
to Philadelphia and the
weather report was bad so I decided I didn't
want to drive so I booked a miles ticket
figuring if things got delayed I would just
work in the United Club to pass the time.
Better than being white knuckled on the road.
But I never expected what
happened...
So I get to Washington Dulles Airport after a hop
down from Hartford.
I visit the United club...have a little breakfast
and head over to my gate.
The flight is delayed.
No big deal.
I'll mess around on Facebook for a bit
to pass the time.
So then we hear thunder.
Cool....
I've seen
thunder before.
It will pass.
But then all of a sudden...
Every single cell phone in Dulles airport starts
to SCREECH exceptionally loud.
It was jarring.
Apparently there was a tornado warning.
Well being from Connecticut we don't have those
so it was scary.
Thousands of
screeching phones and at that moment
the heavens opened up and there is golf ball sized
hail started flying.
Then there was commotion as they started to make
announcements over the loud speaker ...
They made us huddle in the middle areas of the airport
away from all
walls.
And all I could think was...
I could have stayed in bed this morning!!!
So eventually the alarms end and everyone calms down.
But then the cancellations began.
One after another the board lit up red with flight after
flight that wasn't going to take off.
And then a whole nutha kind of fear broke out!
The fear of not getting there!
In the end I spent 6 hours in Dulles hopping
from
gate to gate praying to get on a flight.
Standby SUCKS!
I eventually got to Philadelphia...
But alas...my bag didn't.
And so there I was....
Stinky Diane...
No nightie...
No jammies.
Hotel toothbrush...
Pure exhaustion.
What a day!
But its a day I'll never forget.
And I now remember why I like living in Connecticut.
NO TORNADOES!
So here's what's cool.
After the day
from heck...
My bag showed up in the middle of the night.
My good friends arrived.
I cut some great business deals
and met some cool new people.
Am I glad I came?
YES!
Was it worth the trials and tribulations?
YES!
Would I do it again?
YES!
Why did I share this?
Because I want you to know that STUFF HAPPENS!
Even to Hochman.
And if you want to be a
successful marketer...
Stuff will happen to you too!
And then you write a letter or do a video about it and
you make money with it all!
LOL!
The drama is in the details.
The attraction is in the imperfection.
People LOVE the saga.
But to take advantage of it all you need to LIVE IT.
So now that I am here and at the meeting I am going
to run off and learn some cool stuff.
I'll catch up with you soon to share some of it.
Have a good one!
Diane
P.S. Wouln't it be cool if you had a professional writing all your copy for you?
Stay tuned as something BIG is coming soon!
