Standing O....

So last night on the Grammy's Adele was doing a tribute to
George Michael.

Not very far in she stopped....let out an Fbomb and asked

to start all over again.

She had messed up.

This is national television...

Thousands in the Staples Center and millions watching on LIVE TV

ans she just stops....and calls a do over.

So what did the audience do?

Did they boo her....

Did she have to run off the stage in shame?

NOOOOOOOO..........

The audience gave her a STANDING OVATION.

They got on their feel and applauded her for having

THE BALLS to ask for a do over!

And you know...

I wasn't surprised.

Happens all the time in this industry.

While the average guy is trying to be PERFECT

and never mess up ....

The most successful people are making mistakes left

and right and getting applauded for it.

In fact...

I would be willing to bet that the reasons you love

some of your favorite marketing mentors is because

they are so REAL and they let you see their foibles.

So tonight I just wanted to top my hat to Adele.

And to every marketer out there who is brave enough

to make mistakes....to say...Mea Culpa ...and to move on

with their mission of changing lives.

In the end...

People only remember the ones who had COURAGE.

The ones who had heart.

The ones who DARED TO DO.
