Wanna know the tell take sign of a mentor versus
a sales person?
A sales person is interested in selling you stuff.
They will use every mechanism under the sun
t get you to buy....
They'll give you fear of loss...
Make you feel un included...
Push you...
Prod you..
Follow up on you...
Shame you...
And give
you huge anxiety until you buy.
The very often those particular people
go on to their next thing...
And before you know it the cycle starts again
when they join their next deal of sell their next
product launch.
No back up.... no customer service.
That attitude is....
"That was yesterday....this week we are only taking
to people who buy THIS"
That's a sales person through and through
And in fact...most often they will use their statistics
from their last push to get you to buy during this push.
I recruited 72 people ...let me show you
how....
When you buy this next thing I will give you the secrets!
Or I made a gazillon dollars and am a 42.6 figure earner.
You want to work with a top dog so JOIN NOW!
Now on the other hand....
You will find the mentors who actually have a focus on
finding the people they should be mentoring and they
do that by creating offers and seeing who
can follow through.
They have no desire to take your last dime.
No need to convince you.
Sure....they'll use standard sales mechanisms like a closing
deadline or quantity limit to help you make a decision but
generally you will see offers of great value and they
will not pressure you or anyone as your money
is NOT
what they are after.
They are after your MIND and they need to see if you
will INVEST in yourself and follow through before they
will put any type of time into you.
And here is the big difference.
The mentor is not interested in people who just
BUY
everything under the sun.
Sure.....they'll take your sale and provide you
ten times the value in service but they are not
the least bit excited by chronic buyers who pile
course after course up without ever
taking action.
People like that buy their kids shoes but
they
don't turn the mentor on.
Where as the sales guy will work the compulsive
buyer until he is BROKE!
I have seen them sit and exchange names of
the "suckers' who buy everything and never
do a darn thing with the information.
They laugh as they think how much
money
there is to be made of of folks like this.
Me.....I am saddened when I watch people trying to
buy their freedom.
There IS no buying freedom.
There is only finding it through effort and trial
And mentorship.
Can you do it without mentorship?
Sure..if you are a prodigy.
I have seem
them. They are few and far between.
Those folks don't need lessons....
But most do.
From a mentor who is invested in teaching them.
Because the thing a mentor values most is
LEGACY
And when you truly find a mentor you become part
of that for them.
Profound stuff.
So from today on.
Examine who you are seeking to learn from.
Are they money or human
focused.
Are they manipulating you or teaching you and
seeing if you will light up?
Are they over charging you for a product or service
or do they TRULY provide that value.
Do they service what they sold or are they just
on to the next run before you can blink.
Are they a ROCK.
Stable in every way or
are they still
grinding for a dime.
Hard for a grinder to mentor you ....no?
Do they do calls and content for free to seek their
next mentees or do they only write and perform when
something is for sale and disappear in between.
Do they sow into the community...encouraging people
and adding to the environment...
Or do they swoop in raiding groups with their newest
HOT DEAL OF THE WEEK when you learn expect them.
Are they a solid anchor or always in some PRE LAUNCH
or another telling you that you HAVE TO GET IN NOW!
This is the easiest program ever...we do it all for you!
Do they encourage you to build skills or
do they tell you...don't worry...
We made the system....all you need to do is pay us for it and
mon.ey wlll magically fall from the sky...
In fact...
You can get paid to do NOTHING!
Think about it
Who are you following and what are they after?
Do they sell things of value that will serve you long
term or sell you whatever is making a buck
this week?
Do they pull you around teaching you new technique
after new technique before you are solid in one?
Do they tell you that new hot techniques will make learning
the fundamentals unnecessary?
Or do they stick to their guns about what you
NEED to learn and never waiver?
Who's your
coach?
Someone who is dependent on you for a living or
someone who is teaching for the sake of teaching?
And serious....
Can you afford to do anything but invest in working with
a true mentor as opposed to trying that next deal because
MAYBE THIS IS THE ONE?
Isn't it time you decided that maybe YOU are the one!
And hone your skills until
you are DEADLY.
Studying with and serving a mentor until you acquire
the full contents of their mind and then you combine it
with yours.
Do you know that I spend multiple years with each of my
mentors learning everything they had to teach...
Doing everything they said to do.
EVEN WHEN I HATED
IT!
That's how I developed my methods that I use today.
My brain figured out how to avoid all the stuff I deplored
while getting all the benefits I wanted!
But I could have NEVER figured it out had I not
submitted to my mentors who insisted I do what they
told me to do.
Actually ...that is a
lie.
They never insisted.
They could have cared less.
They answered my questions.
Told me what to do and then waited to see if I did it.
If I did they gave me more.
If not they moved on.
They had lots of people around them.
They would show everyone who looked like they
had potential some FAVOR and then they would see
who was
ready to learn.
Most aren't.
Which is EXACTLY why they end up with the sales guy.
They are so busy trying to buy success that
they don't realize that it was offered to them on
a golden platter by the mentor who they were
busy questioning.
Besides....The sales guy said he would do it for
me
and the mentor actually wants me to work!
And so they go on...
Month after month and for some year after year.
But now I have shown you the difference and like any
good mentor I will now see what you do with it.
Will you keep buying or will you invest in yourself.
Will you keep chasing money or will you learn to attract it.
No big deal to me
which way you go.
I'll still be here.
Have been for years.
But I sure would like to find some new mentees for the spring.
That's what juices me up.
Giving you a move and watching you EXECUTE.
That's where the magic lies.
Its all in the grooming.
Something that the sales guy has no idea how
to give you for only a true mentor would take the time.
And with that..I am off to
connect with the members of
my secret club.
Lets see what they got done while I was away.
Lets see who is ready for the next step.
Catch you tomorrow......
