How do you feel about authority?
It's interesting....for generations people were taught to submit to authority.
Now a days that's changed a little but in the end humans are HARD CODED
to follow authority figures.
Its part of our DNA to seek authority and do what they say.
You can see it in a crowd any day.
Go to a busy place...a concert, the mall during the
holidays...
Disney World...
Places like that...
And watch how people swarm until someone in a uniform
tell folks where to go and watch how they move like cattle
Obeying the command.
Or go somewhere where there is no apparent authority...
Like during an emergency and see how people freak out and
wait for someone to take charge of them...
And then one person steps into the leader role
and tells them what to do and they all obey.
Its fascinating stuff.
I have read numerous books on the
topic.
Looked at natural disasters ,cults, riots....
And in all cases there emerged an AUTHORITY FIGURE and the
figure was able to channel the people.
In many cases for good...as in with the Red Cross during a tornado or hurricane...
But in some cases for evil...like Jim Jones telling people to drink the Kool Aid.
