In truth...I am not a natural driver.
I got my license later than most other kids.
I am always happy to let ANYONE ELSE drive.
Driving is just not my thing.
Ya...I drive around town of course.
But I am taking about going to places I am not familiar with.
But today I had to SUCK IT UP AND do it.
My daughter who has some health challenges wanted to
leave her apartment in New York City for the first time since
Corona hit so I had no choice but to get in my car and drive
into Gotham with white knuckles.
I headed down from Connecticut...Into Westchester and I
was all good...
But then I hit the Bronx and the fun began.
I had to go over a bridge in massive traffic and then dodge all the
darting people and bicycles in the streets in Brooklyn to get to my
baby so I could take her to grandma's safely.
But you know what???
I DID IT.
I wanted something...
I focused
and
I DID IT.
Kinda like in business.
I KNOW you probably don't want to do certain things.
I know a bunch of them feel uncomfortable.
But the questions is
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
And are you willing to get white knuckles so to speak
in order to get it?
When something becomes SO important that you are willing to
DO what you need to DO...you will get what you want to get.
That's how it works.
Me...I am STILL afraid of driving in New York City.
But I'd do it in a heartbeat if it meant getting to what I want.
White knuckles and all.
Have a great night.
