This Tilted My Word Back In 2004 And Made The Moola Fly!

I started my business in 1999.

I was doing traditional network marketing and

retailing vitamins out of the trunk of my car in the

supermarket parking lot.

My fancy dance lead generation systems consisted of

littering every bathroom in the state of Connecticut and

hanging signs on power poles at every intersection of every

commercial drag in the tri-state area plus asking every person

I ran into IF I COULD SHOW THEM A WAY...

It was hard work.

Work that kept me from my kids.

Work that caused fight's in my household.

And quite frankly work that emotionally exhausted me.

Between this and running out and down the east coast

to attend meetings I knew I had to find a better way.

And then I did.

I had purchased an info course about something called "Quick Link" marketing

and I learned out to rig up unique series of giveaways that people

could listen to and read on their own which basically gave them the job

of SELLING THEMSELVES!

I stopped trying to sell anything and got very focused on building a targeted

list of people that were predisposed to want my products and opportunity

and then I just fed them "propaganda" that they bathed in time and time again.

They listened to me on their drives, they read me on the toilet, they heads from me

via email and I invited them to join me on uplifting conference calls where I

shared stories of what was possible for them.

But the crazy part was that for the most part I had no idea who they were

until THEY contacted me.

My mentor taught me that a safe prospect was an enrolling prospect and if

you let people feel like they were in full control of the process while

feeding them downloads and giveaways that they could read as much of

as little of as they wanted while opening their imagination of the POSSIBLE

that every single day folks would call me and beg to buy.

Seemed far fetched but being the naive girl that I was I actually beleived

what he said on the training cassettes I had bought and I did what he told

me to do.

Lo and behold....a few months later I had a thriving list, tons of prospcts

and people were actually calling ME with credit card in had.

And it all started with my creating a little downloadable ebook and recording

some audios that people could listen to.

But I gotta tell you...

Back then it was hard to put those things together!

I didn't know how to format and there was no ability to put color or images...

I figured out how to make this with a very rudimentary editor and this is

an ACTUAL PICTURE of what it REALLY looked like.

Pretty bad....right?

And yet I had thousands and thousands of downloads.

And I sent thousands of post cards

And people clamored for my audios...

And yes...

People bought and enrolled.

All before social media, before any fancy blogs, podcasts

funnel builders, live streams or anything like that.

I had jimmy rigged a VERY sophisticated marketing thread

without even really knowing what a marketing thread was!

So when all the fancy stuff came out I was not very interested in

getting lost in high tech as I had already done it THE SIMPLE WAY.

And if you know me at all you know I mostly poo poo anything too complicated.

Just not the best move for neworkers and home business owners like me.

But when I saw a new tool that was about to be launched I quite frankly was

blow away at how simple it was and how quickly someone could rig up a system

like I did way back when.

Serious....

I am talking an hour or two of work and you can have a slam dunk system for

communicating with your prospects so you don't have to chase the any more.

OR....

If you wanted to get really slick you can create what is called A FUNDED PROPOSAL

and actually charge prospects for info that will eventually back end them into your

MLM or affiliate program thus giving you cash flow to run ads and truly

give yourself the freedom to come and go.

Truthfully....

I have made lots of money.

And I love making lots of money.

But my favorite thing of all about my business is my ability

to come and go.

The freedom I have as I only need to speak to a few people a day.

The rest are being sorted by my systems.

I just do my own thing.

And I love that.

All the things they sold you about the industry I have.

Time

Travel

Money

Leisure

Fun.

That's the way it SHOULD be.

I'm the dork that believed it and CREATED it.
