Yesterday I was along for Easter for the first time in my life.

I'm heading home to see my parents and my nieces wedding soon so I couldn't go for the weekend.

So I settled in to do some writing and while I was perusing Netflix I saw they had the series Chosen which I had heard so much about.

I watched the first episode and I was hooked.

It was the perfect show for an Easter Sunday...

The stories of Jesus but presented in a way that anyone would find interesting.

As I watched the credits I saw the name Derral Eves as the executive producer and I instantly ran to Google to see if it was the same Derral I had shared the stage with at a past event.

Turns out that Derral who had created classic videos such as the Squatty Potty series was behind this beautiful series about his faith.

And that he had funded the cinematic quality project via the PAY IT FORWARD concept.

People donated so that others could view the series.

It's been shown in theaters all across the country and now season 1 is on Netflix but I found that there is an app that will allow you to watch all three seasons.

I'm in the middle of season 2 and will watch them all until there are no more.

The plan is for SEVEN seasons and I have no doubt they will succeed.

So why am I telling you about this?

Well 1...

It's a good series.

Not preachy or in language we can't understand but in a format that anyone could enjoy.

Two...

It reminded me of a lot of biblical stories I learned as a child but had forgotten about in the rush of American modern life. Stories that have stood for millenia and that we all should be reminded of.

Three...

It shows us that we have the choice to RISE above noise and to tap into that quiet voice within us.

Derral did.

And me...

Well over the last year I have removed most of the OVERSTIMULATION from my life.

Yes...

I still get hooked on social but I have carefully curated what I see so as to give me messages of joy and peace versus polarizing noise that agitated my soul.

I used to think I had to keep up with it all.

I now realize that "It ALL" was making me sick inside.

I let go of all the STUFF that didn't serve me...

All the people who I was not a fit with...

All the "techniques" that the market was pushing on me.

And I got quiet and LISTENED.

Yesterday He Was Risen.

And today we ALL have the choice to RISE.

Rise out of the pull from society.

Rise out of out lower self urges that make us want more and more stuff when deep down we know that is not THE WAY.

Rise out of the noise of social...It's OK to snooze, unfollow and unfriend those that don't LIFT YOU UP.

Rise out of the search to GET and move into the drive to GIVE.

RISE

RISE

RISE

Look inside and come to understand that perhaps the ways you were taught are not the path to YOUR assignment.

Come to TRUST YOURSELF and step away from the chatter.

(Don't worry...it will be there tomorrow.  Take a day off and see how you feel.)

I'm glad I spent Easter alone although at the start of the day I was VERY agitated about it.

I just can't help but think that this time on my own is by a greater design and I have finally decided to stop fighting it and LISTEN for the messages I am meant to receive.

And that message is to RISE and help others do the same.

The people don't want another program or product.

The people are waiting for YOU.

This I know to be true.

P.S.  I started a new class today.

It's being taught by world class marketer Frank Kern.

It was about how to get famous on the internet using AI.

Pretty base stuff buy it's Frank and he had a crazy good offer so I bought in.

Ironically...

His first lesson was about all the things I know in my heart and have known for years but questioned because people told me I had to do it a different way.

They told me I had to go fast...

They told me I had to get their money quick.

They told me to discard those that could not pay or could not perform.

They told me to extract all I could from a person.

And yet here is one of the best marketers on the planet talking about how you treat people, to work for the long term, to provide value whether they buy or not and all kinds of good stuff like that.

The stuff I have been teaching FOREVER.

And I thought to myself...

Diane...

When you went through rough times you lessened your voice.

You shrunk into the corner.

You let those that teach abusive ideas sing louder than you.

And I hung my head.

And then I thought of yesterday's show and the only word I could hear was RISE.

It's time for us ALL to RISE.
