If you follow me on Facebook you've probably seen me making some interesting posts lately.
I've been learning about some pretty exciting new things that are coming in the near future to an internet near you :)
But seriously...
We are on the edge of a major change and pretty much NO ONE in our space is on to it yet.
But in order to understand the future we must go to the past and understand the HISTORY of the web.
In other words we must
GO BACK TO GO FORWARD
So let's go...
<><><><><><><><><><><>
Many moons ago the internet was born and only a select few knew about it or how to use it.
Over time it leaked out to geeky kids who spent their time in their mom's basements talking to each other via modems that you had to actually lay your land line receiver on in order to communicate.
They used message boards and rudimentary websites of sorts in order to talk amongst themselves.
The average person had never heard of it and it was all very UNDERGROUND.
Over time the first websites emerged as static ONE WAY information sources from the site author to the viewer.
Mainstream folks started to jump on the web via portals like AOL and Prodigy but often stayed within the internet provider's areas of the net as it took way too long for pages to load on dial up so the masses were in a controlled environment while the entrepreneurial and curious were out on the wild web where no rules applied.
But little by little the internet and particularly email was popularized because PCs became accessible to the average person and AOL was mailing out MILLIONS of CD ROMS and giving away a free month to try it.
The public got HOOKED and then movies like YOU'VE GOT MAIL glamourized being online.
The internet went mainstream and those static one way informational sites started to multiply.
That's where I entered the picture.
I got my first home PC in 94 and found myself online every night after I tucked my daughter in.
I'd do crafts and listen to music while I waited for the pages to load and voraciously gobbled up the limited information that was available.
I LOVED having the world at my fingertips and felt very EXCLUSIVE as most people had not jumped online yet.
WEB ONE was all about email , message boards and basic communication via static websites that had no way for readers to contribute.
It was slow, clunky and yet revolutionary as for the first time the world was connecting in ways it never could before.
Small communities emerged around common interests and there was almost a sense of secrecy as people of every walk could find others just like them. (even the perverts!)
This period lasted until 2004-2005 and then everything started to change.
And that change brought new opportunities for many, many people...
I was one of them.
As always...
New things start with small group in an underground way.
New concepts and new ways of thinking are always met with resistance as human nature is to try to keep things the same.
But there's one thing we all know...
YOU CAN'T.
Now more than ever change is FAST and what took decades is taking months.
The channels of communication are so swift and the technology so fast that if you BLINK you may miss something emerging and the very opportunity that sits within that change.
So I want you to pay attention.
And I want you to PREPARE.
Cause from me you will never hear doom and gloom and recession talk and hurry hurry ...squirrel away your nuts because winter is coming...
From me you will hear...
OPEN YOUR EYES
OPEN YOUR MIND
OPEN YOUR HEART
Opportunity is upon us.
The others will try to sell you something to save money on gas and groceries but I will show you how to never worry about the price of ANYTHING again.
You choose which plane you want to be on.
I know where I am going and I will be back tomorrow with more.
We'll talk WEB TWO and how it changed the world while most people didn't even realize what was happening.
Once you understand these two stages we can take you into the NEW HORIZON.
Stay with me.
It will sound weird.
But so did the internet back in the 90s.
The question is will you lean towards the past or the future.
The past feels safe but the future is where all the opportunity is.
Only you can decide which way you'll go.
I am just a purveyor of information.
What you do with it is up to you.
But the one thing I would say is BEWARE of those that are trying to SELL INTO YOUR FEAR.
Who do you want to listen to?
The person who will save you a few dollars while they make thousands on your fear or the person who feeds into your GREATNESS and helps you refine it so that you can finally meet your destiny
Most will go with the first and that's OK.
I'm looking for the later.
Those are the ones that make my heart sing.
Signed...
Which much love and anticipation of what's to come...
Diane
P.S. My All Access Pass program is open for a few people for a few days.
And yes...I will be applying all the things I am learning to this group.
For you will see that WEB 3 is about a whole new set of values.
And once people taste it they will NEVER want to go back to the abusive home business industry system that exists now.
I stopped "selling people" and using them for my own benefit many moons ago.
Imagine what it would be like to live like that.
Making a right living collaborating with people versus doing the shuck and jive trying to sell them all day.
It's possible and soon it will be NORMAL.
At least for those that see the writing on the wall.
If you have interest ASK ME and I will share what we have going on in this very special group.
But even if it doesn't interest you...STAY TUNED.
What I am sharing will give you a huge leg up on the future of the internet and the future of your marketing career.
