Ya gotta sharpen your saw.
 

I first heard this in a Stephen Covey book many, many moons ago.

And I took it to heart.

So even after years in the game and millions in sales I am still spending the day in a seminar learning more stuff.

And I was also asked to speak at another seminar so on my lunch break I will be teaching.

My philosophy is to follow those ahead of me and lead those behind me.

Kinda cool...no?

In fact...

The seminar I am attending today is being run by some very OLD SCHOOL marketing guys.

Not slick young internet whipper snappers.

These are guys who ran businesses BEFORE the internet and then became pioneers when online marketing came to prominence.

They have no interest in what's new and hot.

They teach WHAT WORKS and what has worked for DECADES.

My kinda stuff.

I never chase the fleeting.

Never think I'm missing the boat.

I just keep sharpening the saw.
